I am currently involved in trying to track down my ancestors from West Virginia, which I am finding out is not an easy chore. I have been working on the family tree for a year now and I really enjoy doing it and it has become an obsession with me to find my WV ancestors, since no one in the family seems to have any information on them. My brother has been doing the family tree for over 30 years and pretty much has my father's side back to the early 1500's, and part of my mother's side, on her mother, but no one seems to know to much about my grandpa's side. I have uncovered some information in my quest and hope to upload a GEDCOM file on what I have and maybe I will get some help from somebody who can shed a light on the missing links. Stay tuned for further developements!!! Thanks for stopping by and come back often. Another saga to this genealogy task is my married name was also Wilson (no relation) and I am also trying to do that side of the tree. Gets rather confusing, especially when some of the names are the same. Just to many Wilson's out there; so I hope to find a connection with somebody or help from somewhere. NEW UPDATE: Well, here it is 2006 and Ive been at this research for six years now. I must say it is getting interesting, to say the least. Still a mystery in my line is my gggrandfather, supposedly by the name of Sheply (Shepley)Wilson. I still have yet to find anything about him. But I haven't really pushed hard at it either. Took a breather from all this researching and now that I'm trying to get back to it I'm moving rather slowly. My brother finished his book on my father's side so I've been reading it, he done it through the Family Tree program, and I must say he did a mighty fine job. It's very interesting also. Nevertheless, I will be updating this site again, and if anyone can help with my researching, I would greatly appreciate it. Later
