This is Granddaddy Julian's daddy, Joseph Lemuel Willis, aka "Daddy Joe", sitting in Clyde Morris's store in Atlantic, NC, enjoying a Coke. He was born April 12, 1879 and died Dec. 29, 1973. He was the father of ten children. His funeral was the first I ever attended. He was the son of John D. Willis and Angeline Salter.
