      Funeral services were held for G. T. Isbell, Sunday Dec. 2, at 1:00 PM at
            Phillips & Lucky Funeral Chapel and burial was made in Rice Cemetery
            with Rev. C. L. Sansing officiating.

       Mr. Isbell was born Dec. 14, 1870, in Burleson County, Texas.  He moved
             to Milam County when a young man.  He lived in and around Rockdale and
            Cameron since.  He joined the Baptist Church when a young man and was a
            member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

               He had been bedfast since Oct., 1949, but became worse about six weeks
            prior to his death, Nov. 30, at 8:30 Pm.  He died in the home of his daughter,
            Mrs. N. E. Dyer.

          He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Leona Brett of Highlands, Mrs. Annie
       Morris of Fairbanks, and Mrs. N. E. Dyer of Rockdale: and one son W. R. Isbell
        of Morgan City, LA: 24 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Pallbearers
         were Robert Wilcox, Grady Dunaway,W. T. Dyer, Willis Brett, and Curtis Morris
           who are his grandsons and Mr. J. D. Kornegay.
