My Wilcox Family History

I am researching the Wilcox family of North Carolina. Our family begins with Joseph Levi Willcoxson. Joseph married Sarah Elizabeth Orsborne/Osborn December 17, 1822 in Wilkes co., North Carolina. Two of their children were Jesse Colbert Willcox and Seth William Willcox. I descend from Seth William Willcox. The Willcoxson name has changed through the years and has made research a bit difficult.



I am also researching the Robert Hemphill Millican Family of South Carolina. Robert was one of Stephen F. Austin's Original 300 Colonists arriving in the Republic of Texas December 1821. My ancester is James D. Millican, son of Robert Hemphill Millican. James was also a "300" colonist and received a Spanish land grant July 16, 1824 located in what is now Brazos County, Texas. James D. Millican was married to Charity and they had nine children.
