William George Argo was found in the 1900 census, in Carroll county, Ga. He was married to his second wife Susan. Living with him is William Thomas, his son by his first wife. Thomas is 17 yrs. old. Susan and George have been married at this time for 14 yrs. Also living with them are Susan's two children by her first marriage.
George and son Thomas are listed as day laborers in a cotton mill. His daughters Georgia,17 and Fannie, 13 are listed as yarnners in the mill.
George is found in the 1910 census, listed as a widower living with his brother-inlaw,Robert Harden and wife Martha. Ethel,13 and Lizzie, 14 are living with them, but Lillie is not listed. In this census George is listed as a helper in the cotton mill and the two girls as spinners.
