| iv. | JOHN GROVER WILLIAMS, b. June 17, 1888; d. January 11, 1893. |
|
Notes for JOHN GROVER WILLIAMS: Grover Williams departed this life on the evening of the 11th . He was the son of J.E. and Martha Williams. He was about five years old when he took his flight into another world. He leaves a father, two brothers, two little sisters, and many friends and relations to morn his loss. We can say to the bereilved family that we sympathize for them, for we too have drank of the bitter cup. But little Grover has exchanged the fond embrace of a loving mother and a kind and affection stepmother, for the love of a kind and heavenly father, and the companionship of his own dear mother, who passed over the river some four years ago. Go to thy rest sweet Grover, Go to thy dreamless bed, Gentle and meek and mild, With blessings on thy head. Before thy heart could learn In waywardness to stray, Before thy feet could turn To the dark and downward way. Ere sin could wound the breast, Or sorrow wake the tear; Rise to thy home of rest In thy celestial sphere. He was interred at the family cemetery near the residence of the widow Lawrence. The services were conducted by Rev. W.J. Wood. A Friend This was taken from the Paulding New Era news paper of Feb. 3, 1893. |
