Researching the Williams family, who arrived in southeastern Pennsylvania from Wales, England, Germany and Holland in 1683 and after. My record of the Williams name starts with William ap John of Marionethshire, Wales, born in 1640, and married to Ann Reynald or Reynolds. William was an original purchaser of property in Merion (now Delaware County, PA) and Goshen (Chester County, PA) from William Penn. They came to Pennsylvania with four children, John, Alice, Katherine and Gwen, in 1683, aboard the Morning Star. He and his wife both died just prior to or very shortly after arrival. William's son, was 13 years old at arrival and his sisters were all younger. He took the name John Williams. John inherited the properties but I have no verifiable information as to where he and his sisters might have lived until becoming of age. By 1697, at age 27, John had sold the Merion and Goshen properties and married Ellen Klincken, who arrived from Uttenkirk, Germany. They married at Germantown Friends Meeting in 1696. Their son, Anthony Williams, born 1711, in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, married Sarah Shoemaker in 1735/36. Would appreciate information about William ap John and Ann Reynolds, their roots in Wales, and any specifics on their descendants.
Other family names include Styer, Stokes, Shoemaker, Roberts, Griscom, Hallowell, Satterthwaite, Tyson, Arnwine, Irvin, Claypoole, Wenninger.
Also interested in information regarding the ancestors of the Breidinger family of the Worth am Main area of Bavaria, Germany. Several children of Eduard Breidinger (1862 - 1923) and spouse, Johanna Ernst (1869 - 1909), emigrated to the United States in 1910's - 1920's and lived in New York and California.
And that began all that has come since.
