I am researching the families of my parents and those of my husband.
My family surnames are: Perry, Stepp, Williamson and Marcum; Osborne and Jarrell. All lived is VA/WV Mostly in Wayne Co.
Arnold Perry and Polly Ratliff married in Floyd Co., KY and moved to the Wayne Co., VA(WV) area to raise their family. James, a grandson of Arnold married Rebecca Stepp and they raised their family in Wayne and Mingo Co.,WV. Their son Thomas Jefferson Perry, married Mabel Osborn, daughter of Rebecca Jarrell and Williams Thomas Osborn, a veteran of the Union Army.
Rebecca was the great-granddaughter of Jane Jarrell and Lazarus Damron.
My Husband's family surnames are: Wilhelm(Williams),Stafford, Fry, Draper, Napier; Honaker, Jarrell(from Orange co VA) Bailey, Most of these families were in Orange Co. VA; Bland Co., VA; Mercer Co., WV; Henry Co. VA and Giles Co. VA
Henrick Wilhelm came to PA in the early 1700's and moved from there down the Valley of VA. with his family finally settling in the New River Valley. John Madison Williams married Catherine Fry and they raised their family in Giles Co. John Madison was a veteran of the CSA Army. Anna Draper, daughter of Jesse Hurd Draper of Henry Co., VA married John Floyd Williams, the son of John Masidon and Catherine Fry Williams. They raised their family in Pembroke, VA.
Hans Jacob Honaker came to PA in the early 1700's and married, moving into the now Warren Co., section of VA where most of his children were born. From there he took his family to the Wythe, Bland area of VA where his children married and many of them settled. James Cline Honaker married Sally Jarrell, daughter of George Washington Jarrell of Orange Co;, VA. They raised a large family in the Rocky Gap section of Bland Co., VA
