Titameg's Children is the collective knowledge of many of her living decendants and their connections. We live throughout North America, on both sides of the 49th parallel, and in many other countries in the world. Our ancestors can be found in many records of the Fur Trade Society in North America, among others.

Titameg was born about 1750 in Rupertsland and married John Favell, Jr according to the custom of the day. She was called his 'Country Wife.,". John was born before 1740 in Southwark, England. And like many of the Hudson Bay Company's male employees John started a new family Rupert's Land. Based on the location of the Trading Post we might guess that Titameg was Cree, perhaps the daughter of the Chief as the practice of Traders forming relationships with local people through custom marriage was common in those days.Another variation of her name is Tittameg meaning whitefish in English.

When John Favell died November 2, 1784 at Henley House, Rupertsland, he was in his 20th year of service with HCB. During this time his positions included Writer, Second Accountant, Second in Command, Master and finally Deputy. He left a will concerned with proper future provisions for his Indian wife Titameg and their children, Jane, Humphrey Martin, Mary and Thomas. It is from Thomas's marriage to another Cree Indian, Sally Trout, that I decend. Look forward to hearing from you.
