Welcome to my family site.

This site is dedicated to research of the following family branches: Billard, Trottier, Poirier, Hamelin, Lefebvre, Chartrand, Charlebois, Roussel, Marcotte, Clément, Wilkins, McRoberts, Bell, Ferguson, Ward, Benson, Kelly, and McLellan.

Due to space restrictions only a limited number of reports will appear on this site, however, these will change from time to time depending on requests or updates. Please check the site often or contact me for further information.

  • Alfred Bell (91 KB)
    Alfred married Ida Ferguson. At one time he owned a blacksmith shop in Carmangay, Alberta. He also resided in Oro Station near Barrie, Ontario and is buried there. Alfred and Ida had three children: Estelle Vivian(1900-1985), Clarence, and Alice.
  • Charles David McRoberts Wilkins (93 KB)
    He was the son of Charles Albert Wilkins and Charlotte McRoberts of Mille Roches, Ontario. He was born April 23, 1901 and died March 11, 1985 in Cornwall, Ontario. He married Estelle Vivian Bell, daughter of Alfred Bell and Ida Ferguson. They had thirteen children.
  • Maurice Charles Wilkins and Alfred Edwin Wilkins (104 KB)
    Maurice a.k.a. Maury (1920-1967) and Alfred a.k.a. Alfie (1924-1974) were the sons of Charles David McRobert Wilkins and Estelle Vivian Bell. Maurice was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario and was buried in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. He was the spouse of Beatrice Barton. Alfred was born in Mille Roches, Ontario and died in Brockville, Ontario. He was the spouse of Vivian Moffat. Maurice was in the army in World War II while Alfred served in the Navy.

    Louise, daughter of Olivier Billard and Julie Laframboise married Pierre Laperle and they had a daughter named Dora.
  • Olivier Lévi Billard (43 KB)
    Olivier was born in 1867 in Moosecreek, Ontario. He married Julie Laframboise (1868-1958) on August 20, 1888 in Williamstown, Ontario. They had 12 children: Louise (Mrs. Pierre Laperle), Julie (Mrs. Noé Rozon), Léa (died in infancty), Arthur (M. Ida Roy), Napoléon "Paul" (m. Marie-Ange Séguin;Elodie Auclair;Ellen Anita Ives Lindsay "Nita"), Lévi (died around age 20), Marie Rosalie "Rose" (Mrs. Roméo Chénier), Albert (m. Jeanne Slavin), Léa (Mrs. Louis Bergeron), Marie Florence Irène (unmarried), Joseph Louis (m. Laurette Gohier), and Marie-Anne Pauline (died at age 2).
  • Francois-Xavier Billard and Octavie Pilon (49 KB)
    Francois-Xavier was the son of Xavier Oliver Biard and Narcisse Lamother. He was born in 1825 in St. Benoit, Quebec and died October 4, 1914 in Lancaster, Ontario. He married Marie Octavie Pilon on October 20, 1851 in Ste-Madeleine-de-Rigaud, Quebec. She was the daughter of Amable Pilon and Euphrosine Vallee. She was born March 12, 1835 in Rigaud, Vaudreuil, Quebec. They had 16 children.
  • Marie Rosalie (Rose) Billard (1900-1981) (59 KB)
    Rose was the daughter of Olivier Billard and Julie Laframboise-White. She was born in Green Valley, Ontario and died at the St. Mary's Hospital in Montréal, Québec. This photograph was taken circa 1920 when she was a newlywed. Rose married Roméo Chénier. They had no chlidren but they raised her brother's Napoléon (Paul)'s daughter Rita, when her mother died at a young age.
  • Paul & Christine Coté (49 KB)
    Paul Coté was born in 1876 in St. Lucy, Quebec. He married Christine Billard/Beor (b. 1878, Kenyon, Glengarry, Ontario) on January 12, 1903 in St. Raphaels, Ontario. They had two daughers: Julie and Eliza Jane.
  • Alfred Lefebvre/Lefaivre (20 KB)
    Alfred was the son of Theotime Noel Lefebvre and Sophie Lalonde. He was born in May 1864 in Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec and died in 1940 in Cornwall, Ontario. He married Cecile Roussel, daughter of Joseph Roussel and Margaret Lalonde, on May 12, 1890 in Cornwall, Ontario. She was born July 12, 1870 in Ontario and died in 1944. They had 13 children.

  • Emilie (André St-Amand) Hamelin (45 KB)
    Emilie married Joseph Olivier Hamelin on July 6, 1863 in Ste Justine-de-Newton, Québec. They had 12 children: Adélard, Hermine, Olivier, Alfred, Alphonse, Donalda, Mathilda, Eugénie, Laura, Isaï, and Reina. Daughter Hermine is my ancestor.
  • William Billard and Hermine Hamelin (153 KB)
    William was the son of Francois-Xavier Olivier Billard and Marie Octavie Pilon. He was born on June 29, 1872 in Roxborough Township, Ontario and died November 8, 1946 in Cornwall, Ontario. He married Hermine Hamelin on May 1, 1899 in Lancaster, Ontario. She was the daughter of Joseph-Olivier Hamelin and Emilie St-Amand. She was born on August 4, 1877 in Ste-Justine de Newton, Quebec and died October 1, 1936 in South Lancaster, Ontario. She is buried in St. Raphael, Ontario.
  • Joseph Louis Billard 1909-1955) (29 KB)
    Louis was born in March 1909 in Green Valley, Ontario to Olivier Billard and Julie Laramboise dit Leblanc. He died in Montréal, Québec on February 1, 1955 and is buried at the Notre Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montréal, Québec. He married Laurette Gohier.

    Alfred Lefebvre (1891-1971) married Joséphine Clément (1897-1949) on May 12, 1915 in Cornwall, Ontario.
  • Auguste/Augustin Clement and Josephine Billette (25 KB)
    Auguste was the son of Isai Clement and Milina Arbic. He married Josephine Billette, daughter of Amable Billette and Euphemie Robert. They had at least two children, Josephine (1897-1949) and Edmont (b. 1899).
  • Roméo Lefebvre (15 KB)
    Roméo was born July 21, 1916 in Cornwall, Ontario and died in Cornwall, Ontario on August 10, 2003. He is the son of Alfred Lefebvre and Joséphine Clément. He married Germaine Charlebois (1917-1998) On August 30, 1937 in Cornwall, Ontario. They had eight Children: twins Gerald & Gertrude, Pauline, Claudette, Claire, Suzanne, Alfred, and Roger.
  • Nazaire Trottier and Zaide Lalonde (57 KB)
    He was the son of Antoine Trottier and Esther Rouleau. He married Zaide Lalonde on August 13, 1878 in St. Polycarpe, Quebec. She was the daughter of Antime Lalonde and Marcelline Brabant. THey had 6 children: Oscar (1879-1949), Hortense (b. about 1892), Aledia, Aldea, Ernest and Raoul.

  • Olivier Poirier and Elizabeth Liboiron (47 KB)
    Olivier was the son of Pierre Poirier and Marguerite Hurteau. He married Elizabeth Liboiron on July 7, 1878 in St. Telesphore, Quebec. She was the daughter of Arsene Liboiron and Elizabeth Desforges. They had 6 children: Alba (1880-1961), Wilfrid, Omer, Eugenie, Josephine, and Albert.

    Cecile was the daughter of Alexis/Alexandre Roussel and Margaret Lalonde. She was born July 12, 1870 in Cornwall, Ontario and died June 11, 1944 in Cornwall, Ontario. She married Alfred Lefebvre on May 12, 1890 in Cornwall, Ontario. He was the son of Theotime Lefebvre and Sophie Lalonde. He was born in 1870 and died in 1941 in Cornwall, Ontario. They had 13 children.
  • Irène Billard at Green Valley home (1906-1973) (43 KB)
    Marie Florence Irène Billard was born March 27, 1906 in Green Valley, Ontario. She died in 1973 at the Jewish General Hospital. She was the daughter of Olivier Billard and Julie Laframboise. She was one of 12 children born in this home in Green Valley, Ontario. Her father, Olivier built the house himself and cleared the land around it with the help of neighbours and friends. Irène is shown here in the 1920's on a return visit to the home.
