I started searching my family tree in 1979 when my father died and I realized that I wanted to know where my family came from. At that time I realized that searching the Windsor family was going to be a difficult and tedious task so rather than give up on genealogy altogether, I decided to start on my mother's side of the family (Dailey family). I've spent nearly 20 years trying to find Ephraim Daily, b. abt. 1809, NY and hope that I don't have to spend another 20 years on that elusive ancestor. When my children were young, I would take them with me to libraries and cemeteries rather than spend (genealogy) money on babysitters. This has instilled a great interest of genealogy in them since they grew up watching mom "dig up ancestors." I have 26 nieces and nephews and when each niece/nephew graduated from High School, I would give them a copy of the family tree, completely bounded with pictures, stories and history. They all love this and each book is unique due to all the changes in the family (births/deaths/marriages) in between graduations. They love to compare their books. | My Genealogy Home Page Updated June 30, 2005 |
