Eric Winslette's Family Home Page

The Winslettes are a branch of the family Winslett originally settled in Greene County, Georgia. Samuel Winslett left England for America during the late 1700's and settled in a small Quaker town in present day McDuffie County, GA. During the next 100 years Winsletts primarily migrated to Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma. However, there is a small group of Winslett(e)s still living in and around Eatonton in Putnam County, GA. Surnames I am researching include Bailey, Batchelor, Hearn(e), Pinkerton, Echols, and Cook. All of these families were centered in and around current Putnam County, Georgia except for the Cooks who were from Schley County, Georgia. An ancestor tree for my parents can be found in the attached report below.
I have some fairly detailed information on the Winslett family and am now working on some of the other surnames in my family. Any information you might have on these would be welcome, and I'd be happy to share what I know.
