There are two branches of the descendants of Johanes Weesner, Swiss soldier of fortune, and early settler to the State of New York. Hendrick Wisner settled in the Warwick-Goshen-Middletown area of New York and produced the patriot Henry Wisner.
The second son, Adam, settled the North Tonawanda-Niagara Falls area and produced the Revolutionary War patriots Thomas and David Wisner, both of whom were at the Battle of White Plains.

My branch comes from Adam, those who settled in Newfane,Hartland. and Lockport, although I have extensive knowledge of much of the family from the book, "Wisners in America" by G. Franklin Wisner published in 1917.
