The deed was signed by Prudence Cox, J.B. Cox and Mary (her mark) Cox, John
L. Cox and Ruth (her mark) Cox, Sarah Jane Cox, Sophrona B. Cox, and B. M.
Cox. Note that Travis and Matilda did not sign. Perhaps they were in
Missouri and could not sign.

Was in the 1820 census in Pulaski County, KY, but not in the 1830 census. It is assumed he died between those years, as Prudence is listed as the head of household in the 1830 census with 4 sons and 3 daughters.

Also in the 1820 census for Pulaski County, KY are the households of Ezekiel, Jacob, James P. and Robert Cox. In the 1810 census, Elias is not listed, but Allen and James are in Pulaski County and Amy and Jesse are in Wayne Co. Could these people possibly be siblings of Elias?[Brøderbund Family Archive #313, Ed. 1, Census Index: U.S. Selected Counties, 1810, Date of Import: Dec 27, 1997, Internal Ref. #1.313.1.961.189]
