The Travis Cox Family Home Page

Updated September 6, 2000

***
I finally found Travis Cox's parents - they were Elias and Prudence Cox. Travis was born April 7, 1811, in KY. I would now like to find out more about his parents! One of Travis's brothers was born in VA, so the family must have come from there around the turn of the century.
Here is some additional information on Travis: He was married the first time to Elizabeth McSwain in 1835 in Pulaski County KY; they moved to MO & she died following the birth of their 3rd son. He had a brief marriage to Anna Roberts, who died without having children. His 3rd and final wife was Matilda Roe & they had 10 children. Travis died Feb. 27, 1876.

For more information, please read the report on my Cox family and it's descendants; it starts with Elias and Prudence Cox and their children.

Also, for those interested, I have a Cox Family Listserve on the Internet, for anyone who is researching the Cox family name to post questions, clues, etc. I am currently attempting to compile a one-name database on the Cox family name.

Please email me if you are interested in any of this, or if you know the where-abouts of Travis' kin!
