I am researching origins of my grandfather, James Henry Wise, who was born December 27, 1852 (4 days before birth certificates were required), in Henrico County, Richmond, VA. He married Adeline McCall of Henderson County, Lexington, TN, on January 30, 1879 and moved to the city of Dardin (also of Henderson County) where most of their children were born. They later moved to Dunklin County, Hollywood, MO, where he died May 25, 1934 and was buried in LuLu Cemetery outside of Senath MO. As a historical editorial note, the northern solders burned the Henrico County Courthouse during the Civil War, the Henderson County Courthouse burned after he was married destroying the marriage records, he never served in the military, nor was he enrolled in the Social Security System I am also interested in obtaining data about any of his ancesters; and, if anyone notices errors such as misspelling of descendant names, incorrect birthdates, birth places, death dates and places, marriage dates and places, etc, please submit corrections to e-mail address: gwlw@rocketmail.com. |
