I am researching the Morelle, Morell, Morrell family which originated in France & Illinois, the Hudson family which originated in England and Illinois, the Kemper family which originated in Germany? & Alton,Il. the Hardin family which originated in(Hardowyn France?) & Illinois,Wise family which originated in (Germany?) & Il., Jostes family which originated in ? & Il., Brown family which originated in ? & Il., Wantland family which originated in ? 7 Il.

We held a Morrell Reunion in 8/04 with 84 members present and I have successfully researched this family back to 1842 in France; at the 2006 reunion, 2 members of Morelles visited from France.

The first Hudson to arrive in the U.S. was in 1859.

I am looking for the Civil War record and grave of Peter Kemper from Alton, Il. Dod 1888.

The Hardins were from Washington Co., Ky. and came to the U.S. in 1706 as Hugonauts from France, I believe.

My husband's sides of the family are the Browns from Fayette Co.,the Wantlands from Illinois, the Wise's and Jostes'from Macon Co., Illinois.

Any information that you have would be greatly appreciated and I am willing to share what I have found.

Sincerely, Karen L. Wise
