* John Andrew Wiseman 1805 - 1857*

Updated August 2, 2006

Can you help us? After decades of searching, other family members and I have been unable to find proven ancestors of John Andrew Wiseman (1805 - 1857) and we hope that someone can help us.

We think John Andrew Wiseman was born in Pennsylvania in 1805. By 1825 he had moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and had set up a shoemaker's shop. He married Mary A. Harrison in 1826. After Mary's death in 1835, he married Sarah Mankey. John Andrew Wiseman was a Judge for the Court of Common Pleas in Hamilton County, Ohio from 1846 - 1851. He died in 1857. His widow and some of his children moved to Jackson County, Texas before the Civil War.

More details can be found on other pages on this website. Here you will find a biographical sketch, facts, theories, and photos. Additions and corrections are welcome!

If you are a descendant of John Andrew Wiseman, please email me. We can share notes and maybe solve this mystery!
