.....The Ancestors of the Mitchell L. Wise Family were early pioneers in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. George Wise, our eldest known Wise patriarch, was born around 1790 in Maryland and died in 1875 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. The names of his parents and his wife are not known at this time......George Wise's son William was born around 1820 in Ohio and married Mary "Polly" Kendall. William and Mary bought property and moved into the Newcomerstown, Ohio area in the late 1840's. Their son, William Thomas Wise, was born in Carroll County, Ohio. William T. fought for the 32nd OVI in the Civil War.
.....William T. Wise married Almira DeLong and they had a son named Jesse Leroy who married Augusta Mae Schide. Their son Ralph Leroy Wise married Sarah Ethyl Berry and their son Lorin Gerald Wise was my father.
... William Thomas Wise's brother, Samuel I. Wise, moved to Cameron or Caldwell County, Missouri and died there in 1928.
