Adolph Joseph Witz, seventy six, of 60 Adams Street, a retired butcher, died yesterday at Mount Vernon Hospital after a short illness. Born in New York City, son of the late Paul and Barbara Brennner Witz, he lived here for 47 years and was a communicant of the Church of the Sacred Heart. Mr. Witz was a member of Court Chester 388, Foresters of America, and Vernon Live Oak 215, Woodmen of the World, both of this city.
His wife, Mrs. Annie Dolphin Witz, died in 1934.
Mr. Witz leaves five sons, Charles, Frank, Walter and Edward Witz of this city, and Frederick Witz of Pelham; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Dunn and Mrs. Helen Grunenthal, both of Point Lookout, L.I., and a sister, Mrs. Annie Knox of Corona, L.I.
