This census lists my great, great-grandfather (Pop's grandfather), Edward Hamilton (39; occupation - laborer) living in the Township of New Rochelle, NY on the 24th of July 1850, with his wife Elizabeth Anne Devoe Hamilton (38), and their children: Isaac Buckout (11), Moses Devoe (10), Walter (7), Rebecca (3), and Dorothy (1). This document proves that my Hamilton ancestors' country of origin was England. Elizabeth and all of the children were born in NY. My great-grandfather, Charles Booth Hamilton would not be born for another 4 years.
