This is the tombstone of MaryJo's paternal grandfather, Charles Elmer Vest, Sr. @ Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Vinemont, AL. He served as a private in WW I. His wife, Exie B. Stanley, is buried right next to him, and her aunt Louise is buried there also, as well as her great-grandparents (John Wesley & Martha Canant Vest), and her paternal great aunts, Dolly (Flannagan), Bessie (Danner), and Lucy (Freeman).
