I am currently researching the Withnall Family. To date I have available information on Families in Australia and England.The first Withnall in my family to come to Australia was John Withnall who settled on Whitsunday Island in 1888. I am one of approximately 100 descendants of his that I know. There are also other Withnall's not descended from him who now live in Australia. Some of these are descended from William Withnall a convict transported to Van Diemen's Land. I am hoping to find links with these Withnall's. The main players in the Withnall tree so far are: John Withnall (born 25th May 1862 in Staffordshire, England) His Mother born 1843 (Rhoda Withnall) Her parents John Withnall (b. abt 1803) and Harriet Owen (b. abt. 1812) Her siblings James, Thomas (b. abt. 1838), Harriet (b. abt. 1840), Mary (b. abt. 1846 and John (b. abt. 1849) I am particularly interested in finding out anything about the people mentioned. I am also interested in hearing from anyone with the surname Withnall. Other surnames I am researching are: Surtees, Belz, Barrs, Walden, Saunders, Leggott. |
