The Mark E. Wofford's of Springfield, MO

I am currently researching the JACOB W. WOFFORD family from Hall County, Georgia. I am looking for Jacob Wofford (or Wafford). He was born in 1836, in Hall County, Georgia, to DANIEL WOFFORD. He married NANCY MILLER in 1857. They had two sons, JOHN CALVIN and JAMES DANIEL WOFFORD, both born in Hall County, GA. The two sons later moved to Southwest Missouri, around 1879-80. I have not been able to find out what happened to Nancy after the death of Jacob in 1863, or her two sons between 1863 and 1879. Nancy was the daughter of HENRY and ELIZABETH MILLER, originally of Hall County, Georgia, and later McMinn County, Tennessee.

In addition, I am researching the WILLIAM BRACKINGTON SMITH family. William B. Smith was born in Bledsoe County, Tennessee in 1812. We believe he was born to WYATT SMITH, of Bledsoe County, Teneenssee. William B. Smith left Tennessee and came to Laclede County,Missouri around 1846-49, with several other families from Bledsoe County. His father, Wyatt Smith, is believed to have had two brothers in Bledsoe County, TN, JOHN SMITH and THOMAS SMITH.

I am also doing research on JOHN THOMAS FORGEY. He was born in Indiana, February 8, 1849. He came to Southwest Missouri, where he married MINERVA FRANCIS HARRIS of Cooper County, Missouri. We believe that John T. Forgey was born to SAMUEL FORGEY, who was originally from Tennessee. However, we cannot find a definite connection between the two. Looking for any information on family of Minerva Harris of the Cooper County, Missouri area.

I am looking for information on ELIAS DENEAN WHITE, of Charity, Missouri. He was born in 1834, in Illinois. He attended medica school in St. Louis, Missouri. Elias served as a garrison physician for the Union Army in Rolla, Missouri during the Civil War. He married MARGARET ELVARY MADDUX around 1861. She was the daughter of NATHANIEL and REBECCA MADDUX of Dallas County, Missouri. After the death of Margaret, Elias married ELIZABETH CLARK of Dallas County, Missouri. Elias died in 1894, in Dallas County. I am trying to find any information on Elias' parents. His brothers, Peter T. White and William White also lived in the Dallas County area. Looking for anyone with knowledge of this family.
