My name is Kevin Wohler. My father, Donald, created this page in hopes of learning more about our family. After nearly 10 years of geneaology, a hobby that he loved, my father passed away in 2003. I am now the keeper of the records and guardian of the family tree. Though I don't do as much research as he has over the years, I still have access to his Family Tree files. Here's what my dad was working on at the time of his passing: We are searching for information on the ancestors of Carl Friedrich Wohler born about 1810 in Kreis Bütow, Pommern, Germany.Three of his sons, William Heinrich Wohler, Robert Martin Wohler and Reinhold August Wohler immigrated to America in 1869-1872.We are also trying to find information on an Emil Wohler and Alwine Wohler who came over with Robert in 1870 and probably lived in the Chicago area. We are also searching for anscestors of Karl Heinrich Mönter from Wehrendorf, kreis Osnabrük, Hanover, Germany. We have a considerable amount of information on the Monter family and related families that goes back to Gerhardt Monter and Louise Schlaken in the mid 1700s. We would be happy to share information with anyone working on this family. We are also looking for the surnames Crosby, Jenkins, and Whited (all in America).Albert C. Crosby was born in MA in 1839 and died in Des Moines, Iowa on Feb 2, 1900. William Wert Jenkins was born in Illinois in 1851 and died in Kansas City, MO on Oct 14, 1888. We have extensive information on the Whited family but need info on the death of Philena Margaret (Beedle) Whited. She was married to John Jefferson Whited and after his death married Milton Woolhiser.
