| I have been researching multiple family lines - for my husband and myself. My husband's paternal Wolgast line emigrated from the Mecklenburg-Schwerin area of Germany in the 1880s. Collateral related lines (Sothmann and Tagesen) were from Schleswig-Holstein. His mother's Wroblewski, Makowski and related lines originated in the Krolikowo area of Poland. My German paternal lines of Windauer, Behr/Beer, Beiler, Engler, Kolzer, Risch, Rittchen, Schmidt and others were from the Banat area of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This area is now Serbia. My German maternal Moenich-Eiben lines emigrated from what is now Eastern Slovakia. Any new information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share information. | |
