5. JOHN WESLEY2 WOLFE (JAMES J.1)3 was born May 01, 1833 in Seneca Co. OH, and died February 02, 1905 in Gratiot Co. MI.. He married HARRIET NEIKIRK3 April 06, 1854 in Seneca Co. Ohio, daughter of MICHAEL JR. and CHRISTINA SCHMIDT/SCHMITT. She was born December 29, 1834 in Seneca Co. OH.

Notes for JOHN WESLEY WOLFE:
John W. Wolfe - b. May 1 1833 in Seneca Co. Oh. "He received a good common-school education, and also attended the Heidelberg College at Tiffin, Oh.". At age 21 he married Miss Harriet Neikirk on April 6 1854 and rented a farm in Seneca Co. Oh. on which they lived for 12 years. He next lived 2 years in Clyde, Oh. He then moved on a farm in Seneca Co. given to Mrs. Wolfe by her father, Michael Neikirk. Two years later he sold that place and came to Gratiot Co. MI. This was in the spring of 1872. He bought 140 acres in Section 22 of Fulton Twp. He later added 80 acres and had a total of 188 acres under cultivation. In Gratiot Co. MI. John held the office of School Director. Politically he was a "National". He and his wife were members of the Seventh-Day Advent Society. He and wife and four of the children - James M., Ollie D., John E., and David N. belonged to the order of "Sons of Temperance."

John was just under 21 and Harriet was 19 years old when they got married with their parents consent given in court. Citation # 4-276 Original housed at the Seneca Co. Oh.
