Joseph and Sarah lived in Williamson County, TN where they had settled when they migrated to TN.
On 22 December 1837 Joseph bought lot 900A from Thomas O. Hunter for $6000.00.

Abstract of the will of Joseph Robinson - found in Marshall Co. Will Book A, pages 222, 223, and 224. (Joseph was the son of Revolutionary Soldier Michael Robinson - see MCHQ Vol. III, No. III, p 82)
I, Joseph Robinson, do make and publish this as my last will and testament............ my beloved wife Sarah Robinson (4 slaves, farm animals, household & kitchen furniture )....one years provision for her and her family and as many farming utensials as is necessary.
....my son, Thomas W. Robinson, my tract of land whereon I now live containing 304A, my wife Sarah to retain possession of my dwelling house lots and as much of my cleared land as she can cultivate during her natural life and that my son Thomas W. Robinson have possession of the balance of my land at my death and that he have possession of all said tract at the death of my wife.
....my granddaughter, Sarah Jane Robinson, Dau of my son, George Robinson (1 slave)
....my two grandchildren, Mary Jane Robinson and William Joseph Robinson, children of my son David R. Robinson (2 slaves) and 150A of land whereon my son< David R. Robinson now lives.
....my two grandsons, William JOseph Neils and George Thomas Neils, children of my deceased daughter, Margaret Neile (1 slave)
....my grandson, Wm. M. Robinson, son of James Robinson (1 slave)
....my son Thomas W. Robinson be bound to pay my son, William Robinson, the sum of $10 and he pay to my son John Robinson, the sumof $10 out of what I have willed him.

I do appoint my son, James Robinson, my Executor. In witness whereof, I to this my will set my hand and seal this 31st day of August, 1844.

The jury heretofore sworn.....resumed the consideration of this case....do say they find the issues in favour of the plantiffs and that the paper writings in the pleadings mentioned executed on the 31st day of August 1844 signed Joseph Robinson............. is his last will and testament.......It is therefore considered by the Court that the said will be established and valid.
