Mar 1860-26 May 1940. Married Ella Nixon (the granddaughter of Dennis Hadley, Sr., great granddaughter of Simon D. Hadley (Dennis' slaveowner)) in Thomas County, GA on 7 Feb 1889. They had 12 children. Ella died in 1917 some time after the birth of their last child, Cecil.
