| I am searching for information about the Wood family of Hiawassee, GA in the mid 1800's. I am especially interested in the parents of Jesse C. Wood, b. 1853. His mother may have had the surname Wood and may have been unmarried. It is not clear. Other surnames in North Georgia I am researching are: Sisk, Motes, Edwards, Roberts, Cowart,(or,Coward). Surnames in Mississippi or Alabama: Williams, Dunnam, Scott, Fortune. Litt Fortune lived in Union Co. MS in 1898. Any info on him would be greatly appreciated.
