| I am currently researching the Woodlands of Greenspond & St. John's NF, orig. Dorset/Somerset UK; Melendys of Templeman & St. John's NF, orig. Boldre/Lymington, Hampshire UK; Rowes of Trinity , Seldom & St. John's NF, orig. Yeovil, Somerset UK; Winsors of Wesleyville & St. John's NF, orig. Devon UK. We recently discovered that the Melendys of Nfld. stem from a branch of the same tree as the descendants of William & Sarah Melendy of Charlestown MA (ca. 1680). The descendants of William & Melena Melendy of St. John's held a family reunion there in July 1999, with about 120 present, representing four generations. |
