The Stuart and Elaine Woodward Home Page

The Woodward family arrived in Chester County, PA, sometime prior to March 6, 1687, when Richard Woodward purchased land in Thornbury. (A history of these early Woodwards is available from J. Gary Woodward, 1212 Kingman Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048.)
Following the death of his father, Samuel Kimble Woodward moved from Chester County, with his mother and sister sometime before 1900, and settled in Towson, MD. About 1907, he married Ruth Jackson who had come from Jacksonville, MD, in northern Baltimore County.

My present interest is in researching the English roots of the Woodward family and in tracing back through the Jackson family.
