He married (1) Margarethe Hicks959,960 March 20, 1780961, daughter of William Hicks and Barbara Ottinger. She died 1785 in Gwynedd962,963. He married (2) Sarah (Ekopf) Acuff964 March 12, 1793965,966. She died Unknown.

William Rex, second son of Christopher and Mary (Clever) Rex, was born 21 May 1754 in Springfield Township and died 13 June 1795. He first married 20 January 1780 Margarethe Hicks, daughter of William and Barbara (Ottinger) Hicks, who died in
Gwynedd in 1785. William then married (2) 12 March 1793, Sarah Ekopf (Acuff). After William's death, Sarah married (2) Jacob Hirsh.



William served in the Revolution in the 2nd Battalion of Militia from Springfield under Colonel John Moor Esq. and Captain Abraham Heydreck. He is on the 1790 Federal Census of Springfield, Montgomery County.

      35. Jacob3 Rex (John2, George1)1007,1008,1009 was born March 19, 1762 in Germantown, PA1010, and died February 11, 1816 in Germantown, PA1011. He married (1) Elisabeth Van Buskirk1012,1013, daughter of Rev. Jacob Van Buskirk. She died November 14, 18001014,1015. He married (2) Mary Mayberry1016,1017 July 1802 in Market Square Church, Germantown, PA1018. She died April 23, 18471019,1020.

Jacob Rex, a tanner, the only son of John and Sibyela (Bastian) Rex to marry, was born 19 March 1762 in Germantown, and died 11 February 1816 at the same place. His first wife was Elisabeth Van Buskirk, daughter of the Rev. Jacob Van Buskirk.
Elizabeth died 14 November 1800 and Jacob then married (2) Mary Mayberry in July 1802 at Market Square Church, Germantown. Mary died 23 April 1847, leaving a Philadelphia will that names her children. Jacob and Elisabeth are buried in the
churchyard of St. Michael's Germantown, and Mary was buried at Monument Cemetery in Philadelphia where her sons had moved.



Jacob and Mary were married July 1802 in the Germantown Reformed Church by Reverand Runckel.
