* The Hill/Worley/Magnuson/Masters home page*

Updated February 3, 2007

I am researching the following surnames: HILL, WORLEY, MAGNUSON, STUART, COESTER, PETERSON, MASTERS, VADMAN, BLASING, NELSON, BUESCHMAN. Most of the above families (except WORLEY) settled in Minnesota and Wisconsin after the 1850's. The WORLEY family is largely from Pennsylvania (1600s). The Coesters also spelled their last name Ceoster; I have traced them back to Yorkville, Illinois in the mid to late 1800s. The Hill family descended from John and Catherine Hill; their son Adam settled in Waconia, MN in the mid 1800s.
The Masters information I am seeking refers to a JAMES MASTER(S) who was briefly married to Verna Peterson in Superior, WI around 1919 or 1920. They divorced when their daughter Virginia was 1 1/2 years old. He was born in Chicago, IL around 1900. I know nothing else about him; he was my great-grandfather.

I have a great deal of information about the WORLEY ancestry; our line descends from Henry Worley and Ann Stone Worley, who later married Caleb Pusey. Their two sons Henry and Francis, lived in Chester Co., Pennsylvania. It is believed our family descends from Henry (see descendant tree)

I am also researching the following families who I believe lived primarily in the South; DUTY, PIKE, BOSTIC.

If you have any information to share about these families or would like to see the info I have, I would love to hear from you.
