Wright, Wilson, Fletcher, Goen, Rickards, Havens, Hopkins, Barnes I am researching the trees of my greatgrand parents (surnames listed above).
WRIGHT/WILSON: James Gilbert Ernest WRIGHT came to America with his wife Mary WILSON in 1912 from Scotland. They settled in Schenectady NY. Other associated surnames (in Scotland) are PURDIE, HUME, ANDREW.
FLETCHER/GOEN: I have very limited information on Fredrick FLETCHER. However, he married Grace GOEN. Surnames associated with Goen are SWIGART, GAGE (1700s), HANKS (New England, early 1700s, tree back to 1400s in England); HEIFORD, ATKINS, SCAMMONS, WHITE (all four late 1600s in New England); SARGENT and HYLLIER (both 1600s, Mass, SARGENT: 1400s England), LINELL and SHELLEY (1600s, New England); HOWSE (1500s, England)
RICKARDS/HAVENS: Latest in tree is: Nathan Rickard b. 1813 in Ohio married to Sarah Harris. Latest Havens couple with full information is Thomas Havens (1761-1825) and Lucinda Adams.
HOPKINS/BARNES: Limited Barnes information. Associated surnames are DEANES and COTTEN (all three North Carolina). Information back to 1700s in America on Barnes branch. I have great information on the Cotton line. Although I am still trying to verify some. I have definite line back to mid-1600s and another branch (which I haven't completely verified) of Cottons back to 1000s in England. Extensive information on Hopkins. The Hopkins line has BRANCH (North Carolina) Surnames associated with Branch are RANDOLPH, BRADFORD and FOORT (early 1700s, VA); PACE (1500s, England then VA). Hopkins are descendents of MAYO, FREEMAN, PRENCE, BREWSTER, HOWLAND, TILLEY (1600s, New England); Also have pre-America information on HOPKINS and TILLEY (both 1500s, England).
