The Family of Robert and Lewraney Hughey

Robert Hughey came to America in 1776 as a drafted soldier under Sir Henry Clinton. Robert was born 1738 in Glasgow, Scotland, was married to Lewraney Smith or Thompson of Virginia, in 1782. To them was born Allen, John, Sarah, Coleman, William, James, and Mornen.
Robert later married Mary Fielder in about 1771 in Pittsylvania, Virginia. To them they had 4 children Robert, David, Elizabeth and Joel Hughey.

Robert's first son Allen born May 6, 1783 in Pittsylvania Co, Virginia. Married Sarah M. Wagner. They were married on January of 1812 in Pittsylvania, Virginia. To them was born: John Robert, Lewraney, Mary Ann, Milley, Allen T., Daniel W., Elizabeth, and Christopher Hughey.

Their first born son John Robert Hughey married Mary "Polly" Crider born April 13, 1817 Livingston, Kentucky. They were married April 23, 1835. To them were born the following. William Allen, John Henry, Isaac Newton, Jacob Licurgus, Daniel Washington, Sarah Louisa, Thomas Martin, Mary Melvina,and Franklin Lafayette Hughey.
