I am researching the Lloyd family - originally from England but the newest line has extended from Quebec, Canada to Ontario, British Columbia and down to the U.S. including Illinois.

Some of the other families who have come together to create our present day family are: Woods (originating in Ireland) St. Quintin (from Yorkshire, England) Kuntzelman (from Germany to Illinois and on to British Columbia) and Adams (native to British Columbia).

I have managed to find Lloyds in Cornwall, England in the 1700's, and St. Quintins in Hull, Yorkshire back to the 1700's but so far I am unsuccessful in finding any concrete evidence of their arrival in Quebec. I know they were there in the 1870's because I have stories written by my G.G. Aunt and family pictures taken in Quebec. My G.G. Aunt Eva Lloyd was a telegrapher for the CN Railway. My G.G.G. Grandfather James and his son John Rowe Lloyd were teachers in Quebec. My G. Grandfather's wife was Georgina St. Quintin. She was born in Scotland and her family settled in Lachute, Quebec.

I am fairly new at this wonderful "hobby" - my husband calls it an obsession!! I would love to find new family members and share information.
