Hello, I am David Wright and I am researching my Family History of the Wrights. I started my research after coming across some medals in the loft which belonged to my Great Grandfather James Wright. He served with the Middlesex Regiment and fought in South Africa in 1879, and then based in India. He married Mary Anne Sullivan in St. Andrews Church,Secunderabad, India on the October 06, 1884.They had four children who were born in India, and then finally my Grandfather, John Charles Wright who was born at Woolwich,London on August 30, 1900. My Grandfather lost two brothers in World War 1, Francis in Gallipoli in 1915 and Donald also in 1915 at Neuve-Chapelle,France. My grandfather married Isabella Victoria McKenzie. They had a daughter Alma Wright, who died aged 7 from Meningitis, and my father Albert Charles Wright. He married twice, resulting in a half brother, Kevin, and then me and my younger brother Gregory. We both have Children, who age from 10 years to 1 year old.
I have researched back from James Wright to his mother and father, who are Samuel Wright and Sophia Caudery, who came from Chesham, Buckinghamshire. Samuel was a Shoemaker/Bootmaker which I found from records.
It would be great if anyone has research on the Wright's in Chesham, or anything else!
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
David
