EARL WRIGHT GENEALOGY HOME PAGE

I am researching WRIGHT, CROW (Lewis), STRICKLAND (william O and Ervin), NELSON (William Jefferson), JOHNSON (Starling died white county GA), ASHCRAFT (John), LOGAN, RAY, APLING, and ABERNATHY (Rev Miles J rome GA) family lines.
These families lived in Fayette county Alabama near Newtonville in the southwest (Hico Beat) part of the county. These Wright, Crow, Strickland families came to Fayette county cira 1837 from Jackson / Hall county GA. My GGG GF Henry B. Wright was born in 1813 in SC as was most of these families.

Other related families have been traced to Laurens county and Lancaster county SC cira 1780-1820. Other related families have been traced to Anson county NC. Family tradition has been passed down that the Wright family came from England to Holland for 4 years then to the NC or SC (probally to VA first?).
