| Welcome to my FAMILY! My Family Surnames and the geographical areas where they settled are as follows: WRIGHT - Southern and mid West Virginia, Southern and mid Ohio, Eastern Kentucky, primarily Lawrence County. THOMPSON - Eastern Kentucky, primarily Lawrence County, and Southwestern West Virginia CAUDILL and SPERRY - Southwestern West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky ADKINS, BERRY, CUMMINGS, KEEL, LOVEJOY - Southwestern West Virginia Most of these surnames go back to Virginia and back to Ireland and other parts of Great Britain. I have isolated over 3,500 individual SPERRY family members and have traced them back to Thurleigh Parish, Bedfordshire, England, in the 1530s.
