THE WRIGHT FAMILY HISTORY PROJECT is pleased to advise that this “PROJECT” has been under development for some 15 years by the Writer and other Family Members, and a great amount of data and information has been acquired and published.

The Wright Family Tree has been submitted to Family Tree Maker’s Genealogy site (Volumes I and VII, Roots Web.com http://worldonnect.rootsweb.com/~kwright/ and a Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site Home Page on the Web with associated Links.

A short summary of the various Family Lineages being researched follows in an effort to efficiently communicate to interested persons a possible connection for further contact and information exchange as follows:

Alexander Wright(1821-1902) and Wife Euphemia Carlisle (1831-1912) immigrated from County Tyrone, Ireland to New Brunswick, Canada in 1841, then to the Listowel/Exeter area of Huron County,Ontario,Canada abt. 1851.

Further research is being conducted on the Carlisle Family.

John Wood (1819-1910) and Wife Mary Douglas (1821-1895),immigrated from Roxburghshire, Scotland to the village of Glenallen, Wellington, County, Ontario, Canada in abt. 1850.

Further research is being conducted on the Douglas Family.

Joseph Kidd (1825-1913) and Wife Elizabeth Cole (1830-1913) immigrated from Belfast, Ireland in abt. 1871, to Tosoronto Township, District No. 41, Simcoe County near the village of Lisle, Ontario, Canada, moving on to Oak River, Manitoba, Canada abt. 1880.

Henry Tiernan (1832-1877) and Wife Sarah Dobson (1835- )immigrated sometime between 1847 and 1850 from County Tyrone, Ireland and in 1876 were located near the Village of Walton, Huron, County, Ontario, Canada.

Gilmore/Gilmour/Gilmor Family from Edinburgh, Scotland, Craigmiller Castle 1660, migrating to the village of Greenoch on the Clyde,(30 Miles West of Glasgow) Scotland, then to Townland of Inchaleen, Parish of Errigal, Barony of Coleraine, Londonderry Cty., No. Ireland immigrating to the States of Pennsylvania,Virginia and Ohio, in the U.S.A. 1784.

Further research is being conducted on the Bass Family.

Further research is being conducted on the Anthony Family of Cincinati, Ohio.
