I am researching the William SHOEMAKER family. William was born in 1743, reportedly on the voyage to America, he died February 5, 1836 in Madison Twp, Fairfield Co., Ohio. He married Anna Marie ?. They first settled in Sussex Co., New Jersey and then migrated to Jefferson Co., Monroe Co., Northampton Co., Pennsylvania; Fairfield County, Ohio; Kosciusko County, Indiana; Macon Co., Adair Co., Missouri, Wise Co., Texas; Kansas; Tulare Co., San Joqauin Co., California; Tompkins Co., Cayuga Co., Monroe Co., New York.
