If anyone can help with our Family History research on the following names we would be very grateful. If you are interested we are happy to supply any information we have collected so far:Henry BENNETT married Anne COLTHURST(or COLHURST) in Co.Cork Ireland about 1831 and came to Newcastle, NSW, Australia with their family in 1845. Henry was a blacksmith and his parents names were James and Catherine Bennett. Anne's parents were William and Anne Colthurst(or Colhurst).Frederick Joseph BENNETT (not connected to the Bennett above) married Frances LITTLE in 1873 at Sydney, NSW. Frederick was a tailor by trade.Henry Lavington BOWMAN was born 1836 in Chippenham, Wiltshire UKand married Henrietta SKENNAR at Ballina, NSW in 1868. Henry was a farmer, commission agent and worked in banking. His parents were Henry and Mary Ann LAVINGTON and we are interested in the origin of the name Lavington and if it is connected to the two towns in Wiltshire called Market Lavington and West Lavington?Janet COVENTRY was born in London in 1875. Janet married an IVESand went to New Zealand, when he died she came to Sydney, NSW and married a George WARD. Janet's parents were Andrew and Janet Coventry (nee BARCLAY) born 1851 in Scotland (Fife) and for many years they had their own bakery in Chelsea, London.Thomas PARROTT was born in Warwick, Warwickshire in 1809 and he came to Australia with his second wife, Elizabeth, and two of his children, Charles and Maria. Charles later on became a gold miner, mine manager in the Gundagai/Adelong area, NSW and then went to live at West Wyalong, NSW. Thomas' trade was a Whitesmith.George WARD was born 1883 in Kent, UK and after spending some time at sea settled in W.A. and N.S.W., Australia. He married Janet Coventry/Ives in 1914.James John WRIGHT married Jane SMITH in 1860's either in Tasmania or Victoria. His son, William, was my husband's grandfather and he married Maria PARROTT in Wyalong, NSW in 1901.
