The Wrights of Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Connecticut

Our family is descended from either Benjamin Wright (~1620-1677) or James Wright (1701-1769), depending on whose account you read. We first appeared in Guilford or Saybrook CT, once again depending on whose account you believe.

Deacon George Wright took the family to Durham (Freehold), NY in the 1790's. Patterson Wright took us to Wisconsin in the late 1840's. Melvin Wright finally landed us in Minnesota around 1900.
