| Family research began during my teenage years in Galax, Virginia including audio tape recordings and 8 mm silent/sound films of deceased family members at various events. This is my first true attempt at creating for the living family as a whole an electronic medium of our family genealogy. The Wrights, Fields, Funks and Reeves all hail from the southwestern territory of the Commonwealth of Virginia atop the Blue Ridge Mountains. All were true mountain people many members never traveled more than 50 miles from their homes during their entire lifespan.
