NED⁶ ROBERTS (STEPNEY⁵, STEPNEY DICK NED GEORGE⁴, MORRIS JR(3).³, MORRIS (2)², MORRIS(1)¹) was born Abt. 1833 in Mississippi ( Susie Colbert Slave holder), and died in Enrollment card# 102, Freedmen Roll # 2594 (Chickasaw Nation). He married (1) SARAH STEVENSON, daughter of MOBILE COLBERT and LANEY COLBERT. She was born in Slave holder James Colbert, and died Aft. 1872. He married (2) ANGELINE COLBERT. She was born in Molsey Colbert Slave holder.

Notes for NED ROBERTS:
First minister of the Calvary Baptist Church of Berwyn Oklahoma--present day Gene Autry. The Church was located about two miles from the Dawes Academy the first, Black school in the Indian Territory. It is beleived by this researcher that Ned is buried in the cemetry located behind the church as well as many known Roberts Freedmen and descendants. This researchers grandparents Sim Pickens and Rhoda ROBERTS Pickens as well as this researchers mother Exzetta Picekens Denson Parker daughter of Sim and Rhoda Pickens are buried in this historic place.

She met (1) THORNTON SIMPSON. He was born in Non-citizen. She married (2) WILLIAM PARIS. He was born in Slave holder Foris LaFlor.

Dawes Enrollment: Application made to the Commsssion of the Fuve Civilized Tribes on 9-20-1898 for Zilphia Jones, Jack Paris, Mimmon Simppson, Lovard Simpson, Hurley Simpson, Nellie Bagley, Linnie Abram and Lester Abram. Residence: Chickasaw Nation. Post Office: Springer, Indian Territory. Zilphia Jones states at application that she is 54 years old, belonged to Malsy Colbert has 9 children Willis Paris age 35, his family are enrolled as Chickasaw.

He married MAHALE SEALY in Chickasaw Namtion, daughter of PANACHA SEALY and MATILDA. She was born 1840 in Chickasaw Freedmen # 2772, and died in ChickasawNation (Owner Vinny Jimmy).
