Probate Record Book B 1830-1837: 44: estate of Adam Wible. LA granted Samuel Wible on 6 Aug 1831 with Hugh McPheeters as security, (p88) 18 Nov 1832. Adm. reports (p92-93) 13 Feb 1833. Benjamin V. Wible is appointed of Adam, John, Isaiah Wible who made their choice and of Hugh Wible, all minor heirs of Adam Wible, deceased, with security Hugh McPheeters. Samuel Wible the Adm. reports balance of estate to be divided amongst the heirs & widow, viz: John Coulter & wife; Hugh McPheeters & wife; John Rigney & wife; Benjamin M Wible son of John Wible, deceased; Samuel Wible; Benjamin V Wible; Joseph C Wible; Margaret V Wible; George P Lynn & Eliza E. 13 heirs in all including 4 minor heirs.

Adam (Wibble) Wible was one of the 33 settlers who settled the village of Salem in 1780 and later erected a fort north at Cox's Creek, KY, later became Bardstown, the present county seat. ( Sarah Smith, 1971)
