| ANDERSON - HICKMAN - TIEMAN - SPRINKLE - VARNUM - CREED - CORDELL - SWANK - NEUHAUS JOHN AUGUSTUS ANDERSON, b. 1837,and wife, CHRISTINE LOUISE PETERSON ANDERSON b.1841, came to the United States from KALMAR, SWEDEN, in 1868, along with their son, PETER HERMAN and two other sons, names unknown. They first settled in MO, then KS and on to OK. Sons EDWARD FILLMORE b. 1873 and OTTO GLENN ALBERT b. 1876, in KS, , also daughter MARY A., b. 1879 and son, EMIL E. ANDERSON, b. 1881. In 1889, moved on to Oklahoma Territory. After 1908, when John died, the family moved on to OTERO/CROWLEY COUNTIES, COLORADO then to ANDY VINE FARM in MANHATTAN, RILEY COUNTY, KANSAS. WILLIAM RUSSELL HICKMAN, b. 1846 in SURRY COUNTY NC. Went west after the Cival War. First settling in MO. then KS. He married RHODA CORDELL and 2nd, MARY ELIZABETH (VARNUM) HICKMAN, 1879 in WILSON COUNTY, KS. They later migrated to GUTHRIE, LOGAN COUNTY, OKLAHOMA TERRITORY in 1889. Children: DORA MAY, LUCINDA, ROSE ETTA, THOMAS RUSSELL, MOSES, HAZEL, MCKINLEY RAY AND EARNEST E.. MARLIN AVERY TIEMAN, b. 1907 in CONCORDIA, LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO., son of EWARD TIEMANN and IDA BELLE (SPRINKLE) TIEMANN. Grandson of HERMAN H. TIEMANN and CHRISTINE SCHUETZ. Marlin moved to LAS ANIMAS, BENT COUNTY, CO. when he was 16 years old. He married MARGARET MAY ANDERSON in 1931. In 1943, they moved to OAKLAND, ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. |
