| This page contains family information about four brothers who emigrated to Canada in the mid-1800's. William, Robert, James and Charles had many children and grandchildren, etc and this page is an attempt to list the family and its generations. If you find a relative or possible family connection here, please contact me. NOTE: The name is spelled as Hubbert/Hubbard on these pages depending on the source information that was available. The Hubbert's are my maternal line. This page also contains information about my paternal line. The Walter Smith family from Bury, Lancashire, England, that emigrated to Canada in 1855. As is the case with most Home Pages, this is a work in progress. Presently there 800+ people listed on this site. The work you find here comes from research done by several people and I want to thank my mother, Ruth(Hubbard)Smith, Joan Miller, Rick and Alvin Hubbert,Barbara Graham,Robert Hubbert, and Judith Rogers. We all have researched our own particular lines of the family and naturally, crossovers occurred. Having just recently made contact with these new cousins, a lot of missing information has been filled in and has allowed me to publish this page. NOTE: Originally, when doing this page I wanted to include a Book for each of the Hubbert lines and one for my Smith line. Unfortunately the FTM program will only allow for one Book on the Homepage, so Robert Hubbert was chosen, as he is my direct line. Cathie |
