James N. Hill b.1823 d.after August 17th 1861.He was in the 9th BrigadeTexas State Troops, Texas Militia, Beat NO. 5. Joined with a J.S. Pippin on August 17th, 1861, it is said that he got sick and died shortly after enlisting. Also found his land survey in the county of Hopkins,Texas.Married Mary Pippin b.1824d.after 1880 census. Her mother was Jane (Jennie) Pippin lived with Mary according to 1870 Hopkins co.TX.census her age 70,Jane Pippin. James was born 1823 in TN,(Benton County)Town Camden, Tennessee. His Father John W. Hill b. South Carolina married Elizabeth Unknown,2 children known of James Nathan and Sinah Hill. Sinah married James Snow Pippin. Now we are going to start looking for John W. Hill's Father and Mother in South Carolina, due to the fact that when they left Tennessee they left no family members behind. James and Mary's children are: 4 children in Tennessee;John b. unknown. Elizabeth b.1847,Joseph b. 1849,Henry Harrison b. Dec.4,1851, d. Dec.8,1910, then moved to Texas after 1851 when Henry was born,they had 4 children in Texas; Sara (Sinia) b.1854, James b.1855 abt,George Frances b. 1858,Beauregard b. 1861 to 1938,his nick name was Bogue.Bogue was name before he was born, his father James was dieing so he ask that the child be named Beauregard. We have more information, yet there is still some that needs filled in, in places.Also Mary lived with her son and his wife, Henry Harrison Hill and Emily Anne Lane Hill in 1880.
